Recently, We have received several questions from customers about shipping options for cannabis packaging products, especially regarding tariffs, duties, and the difference between our sea freight services. Some of the most common questions include:
Does your EXW price include tariffs and duties?
Does your door-to-door service include tariffs and duties?
Is the door-to-door shipment sea freight (LCL)?
Is Matson shipping the premium sea freight option?
To make things clearer, We have put together a simple overview of our available shipping methods (see the image below).
First, let's clarify the pricing terms.
Our quotation is based on EXW (Ex Works), which means the product price only covers manufacturing and packaging at our factory.
However, if you ask us to arrange shipping, our shipping quotation is a complete door-to-door service.It includes all the transportation costs, customs clearance, tariffs, and duties.
In simple terms, once you place an order and pay the invoice amount, we'll take care of the rest. You won't need to arrange logistics or pay any additional shipping-related charges along the way. Our goal is to make the importing process as simple and hassle-free as possible.
1. EXW (Ex Works)
If you prefer to use your own freight forwarder, we can supply the goods under EXW terms. In this case, your logistics partner will handle pickup, international shipping, customs clearance, tariffs, duties, and final delivery.
2. Rush Shipping (UPS/FedEx)
Transit time: 3–5 days
Tariffs & duties: Included
Best for:Urgent orders, mylar bags, paper boxes, and small unpalletized shipments.
This is the fastest option when time is your top priority.
3. Premium Sea Shipping (Matson Door-to-Door)
Transit time: 18–22 days
Tariffs & duties:Included
Best for: Mylar bags, paper boxes, and most unpalletized cargo.
This is our premium ocean freight service. Matson provides faster transit than standard sea freight while keeping shipping costs much lower than air freight.
4. Standard Sea Shipping (COSCO Door-to-Door)
Transit time: 25–30 days
Tariffs & duties:Included
Best for: Palletized shipments, especially fragile products such as Glass Jars and glass containers.
This is the most economical option for larger shipments that are not time-sensitive.
Why We Didn't Include Air Cargo
Some customers have also asked about air cargo.
At the moment, We haven't included it because recent geopolitical tensions in the Middle East have affected air freight capacity and reliability. Transit times and freight rates can change quickly, so We generally recommend our sea freight options unless the shipment is extremely urgent.
Every shipment is different. The best option depends on your delivery schedule, packaging type, order volume, and budget.
